Find the Right
Lenses for You

Choosing the right lenses is just as important as the frame. Our optometrists will guide you. Here's a helpful overview of what's available.

Spectacle Lenses

Spectacle lenses correct refractive errors by bending (refracting) light as it passes through the lens. The amount of light-bending ability (lens power) needed to provide good vision is indicated on the eyeglass prescription provided by your eye doctor. The lenses you choose for your eyeglasses, even more than frames, will determine how happy you are with your eyewear. In fact, consumers report that selecting the right lenses is one of the most important aspects of getting new glasses.

Single Vision Lightweight Options Anti-Reflection Available

Available in glass and a variety of plastic materials including standard plastic (CR-39), polycarbonate, trivex, and high-index plastics. Ask our optometrist which material is best suited to your prescription and lifestyle. Coatings such as anti-reflective, scratch-resistant, and UV protection can be applied to most lens types.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses can correct your nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Contact lenses are the preferred method of vision correction for a significant percentage of people. While some people enjoy making a fashion statement with eyeglasses, others prefer their appearance without them. Our experienced team will help you find the perfect fit for your eyes and lifestyle.

Daily Disposable Monthly Wear Extended Wear Toric (Astigmatism)

We carry soft contact lenses, rigid gas-permeable (RGP) lenses, and specialty lenses for conditions such as keratoconus. A contact lens fitting and follow-up is required for first-time wearers. Our optometrist will assess the fit, vision, and comfort to ensure the lenses are right for your eyes.

Progressive Lenses

Instead of having just two or three lens powers like bifocals or trifocals, progressive lenses are true "multifocal" lenses that provide a seamless progression of many lens powers for all viewing distances. With progressive lenses, you can look up to see clearly across the room and in the distance. You can look ahead to view your computer in the intermediate zone and drop your gaze downward to read and do close work comfortably through the near zone of the lens.

No Visible Lines 3 Zones in 1 Natural Vision

Modern digital progressive lenses are designed using advanced free-form technology for exceptional clarity across all zones. Premium progressives offer a wider reading area and smoother transitions between distances, ideal for people who work on computers and also need reading correction. First-time wearers typically adapt within a few days to two weeks.

High index vs standard lens comparison

High Index Lenses

High-index eyeglass lenses are the right choice if you want thinner, lighter lenses and eyeglasses that are as attractive and comfortable as possible. Thinner, lighter, high-index lenses are especially recommended if you have a strong eyeglass prescription for nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism. High-index lenses bend light more efficiently than standard plastic, allowing for significantly thinner and more attractive lenses.

Thinner Profile Lightweight Strong Prescriptions Index 1.60 – 1.74

We offer high-index lenses in index values of 1.60, 1.67, and 1.74. The higher the index number, the thinner the lens. For prescriptions above ±4.00, we strongly recommend high-index lenses to avoid the "coke bottle" appearance associated with standard plastic. These lenses are available with all popular coatings including anti-reflective and UV.

Photochromic transition lenses
Protective

Photochromic Lenses

Photochromic lenses (also known as Transitions® lenses) are clear indoors and automatically darken in outdoor sunlight. They provide convenient all-in-one vision correction and UV protection, eliminating the need to carry a separate pair of prescription sunglasses. Ideal for people who move frequently between indoor and outdoor environments.

Auto-Darkening 100% UV Block Clear Indoors All-in-One

Available in grey, brown, and graphite green tints. Modern photochromic lenses activate quickly, darkening in about 30 seconds and fading back to clear in roughly 2–5 minutes. They block 100% of UVA and UVB radiation and reduce glare in bright conditions. Note: they may not darken as effectively inside cars due to UV-filtering windscreens.

Blue light filtering lenses
Protective

Anti-Reflective & Blue Light Lenses

Anti-reflective (AR) coatings eliminate reflections from the front and back surfaces of your lenses, improving both vision and the appearance of your glasses. Blue light filtering lenses are designed to reduce exposure to high-energy visible (HEV) blue light emitted by digital screens, LED lighting, and the sun, helping reduce digital eye strain and improve sleep quality for heavy screen users.

AR Coating Blue Light Filter Reduces Glare Screen Use

AR coatings also make your lenses easier to clean, as they typically include a hydrophobic surface treatment that repels water and smudges. Blue light lenses are available as a coating on most lens types, including single-vision, progressive, and high-index. Recommended for professionals who spend 6+ hours daily on digital devices.
